Draft Minutes of Leven Parish Council meeting held on Tuesday, 4 October 2022 at 7:15pm in the school
Present: Mrs Ellerington-Jennings, S Mathison, S Nicholson, Mrs Fearnall, R Jennings, Mrs Burrows, Mrs Cooper, Councillor Gateshill
22-23/61 Apologies: Miss Richardson, K Macklin, Mrs Saunders
22-23/62 Declaration of interest both pecuniary and non-pecuniary: None
22-23/63 Minutes of the last meeting: S Nicholson proposed, Mrs Fearnall seconded, and all were in favour of the minutes being signed as a true record. Mrs Ellerington-Jennings and Mrs Cooper abstained as they were not present at the September meeting.

22/02818/PLF – Mr David Joy – Erection of first floor extension to side with rear balcony at 65 High Stile, Leven – No objections to the application
22/02935/PLF – Mr & Mrs C Johnson – Erection of a two-storey extension to rear and widening of existing vehicular access following demolition of an existing conservatory at Mount Pleasant, Beverley Road, Leven – No objections to the application
22/02952/PLF – Mr Len Taylor – Erection of two storey extension to side and porch to front elevation and conversion of existing integral garage into additional living accommodation at 82 East Street, Leven – No objections to the application. A note was made that there appears to only be one en-suite bathroom to be used by 4 bedrooms. There is no house bathroom showing on the plans.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council matters: Councillor Gateshill reported on the following:
Mike Brown is now the Streetscene Area Manager covering Leven. Mike has replaced Iain Sugden.
Councillor Gateshill has met with a resident from the village regarding the cycle path from Leven to Beverley. Both Councillor Gateshill and the parish council feel that it is fit for purpose.
Councillor Gateshill to contact Carly Jensen regarding the state of 17 and 19 East Street.
Councillor Gateshill left the meeting at 7:40pm

The purchase of bulbs: As the planters are not going to be filled with spring bedding plants it was decided to plant them up with miniature Daffodil and Crocus bulbs. Mrs Cooper and S Mathison to source. The clerk has asked for daffodil bulbs to be supplied by ERYC.
