Council Meetings

Leven Parish Council generally meet on the first Tuesday of every month to discuss issues that affect life across the parish of Leven.  A full list of dates, times and venue can be found on Parish Council Calendar

Please note that dates are subject to change and will be advertised on the Agenda displayed in Parish Council Documents page on our website and on our parish noticeboards.

There are 11 local Councillors who volunteer to serve the local community helping to improve the villages and support community projects.  Your current Leven Councillors and Ward Councillors contact details are available on the following link: Your Parish Council

What do we do?

The Parish Council has an overall responsibility for the wellbeing of the local community of Leven.

The Parish Council raise money through the annual precept in order to provide and maintain the following services around the Parish:-

A part time handyman is employed to undertake most of the routine work of the Parish Council.  Other specialised work is undertaken by contractors.

The Parish Council also represents the residents by raising items of concern in the Parish with the police, ward councillors and the principal authority, East Riding of Yorkshire Council and by  responding  to consultations that effect the Parish. We will use this site to publicise current consultations that we are aware of.

The Parish Council would like to inform all members of the public that the use of fireworks, bonfires and activities that may cause harm to themselves or other members of the public and property is not permitted and should not be undertaken on public grounds.  Leven Parish Council is not responsible and cannot be held liable for any incidents or accidents resulting from unauthorised use.
